Volunteer Opportunities

Are YOU interested in a volunteer opportunity which will connect you with the classical music scene in Winnipeg?

Women’s Musical Club would welcome Board Members, male or female, who are willing to become actively involved, to enable us to continue and enhance our concert series, the scholarship programs, and to promote young Manitoba musicians.

Positions in publicity, the finance committee, fundraising and special events, the recital committee, scholarships, and publications will become available in the next while due to retirements and a major shuffle of positions. We meet approximately once per month, usually on a Tuesday morning, but committees meet at other times with the Chair reporting to the Board.

An interest in classical music, business experience, communication skills and basic computer skills are definite assets to these volunteer board positions.

Women’s Musical Club’s working volunteer board occasionally requires help with special projects: Fundraising and Special Events, and Communications such as website management, publicity, and mailings. Managing the stage at concerts, chauffeuring for visiting artists and adjudicators, and serving wine at Swing into Spring, also present volunteer opportunities. Both men and women are welcome to join our board or volunteer on a casual basis over the coming season as “Friends of WMC”.
