The WMC McLellan Competition

REGULATIONS

• The recommendation of the jurists is final and not subject to appeal.
• Candidates must be prepared to meet their own travel expenses, maintenance and accompanist expenses for the entire audition process.
• No applications will be considered from candidates who have won the 1st prize.
• Late applications will not be accepted unless postmarked by the deadline stated.
• Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Reference letters may arrive by mail or email and need not be included with the application, but must arrive by the deadline.
• The completion of the application does not guarantee an audition.
• It is expected that winners will recognize the Competition by name in future biographies, giving WMC credit where possible. (especially when performing in Manitoba)

Semi-final round live auditions will be at the Art Gallery, Muriel Richardson Auditorium, Saturday, March 17, 2012. Family, friends and interested guests welcome. There will be a $10.00 admission. Guests may come for any portion of the day. Donations will be gratefully accepted to offset Competition expenses. Donations over $10 will be acknowledged with a tax receipt.

*The time of each audition will be posted. Family and friends who wish to be present must be inside the auditorium when each audition begins. There will be no admittance during an audition.

Final Round with the WSO - Jubilee Place Auditorium of MBCI, 180 Riverton, Friday, April 20, 2012. (rehearsal 2:00-4:30 pm and evening concert at 7:30 pm) Again, friends, family and interested guests welcome. Admission $20.00. Tickets will be available at McNally Book Sellers and at the door.
Donations will be gratefully accepted to offset Competition expenses. (Tax Receipts will be given for donations larger than $10.00).
There will be a non-alcoholic punch reception following the gala concert where guests will have the opportunity to mingle and congratulate the winners.
